Aspen, Co.

Aspen is without a doubt one of the most sought-after skiing destinations in the world. Known for its chic allure, high quality shopping and extraordinary dining, visitors from around the world know that just to be in Aspen is considered a luxury.

When I had the opportunity to visit Aspen, I invited a couple friends who would be the perfect companions on this adventure.

We stayed at the GANT residences. An extraordinary balance between chic comfort and warmth.

Location is key for me, because I like being able to walk around town, discover the city coffee shops and little hidden spots, while sometimes getting to know the locals. So I highly recommend this place.

I chose the last week of April to venture out into the mountains, and I have to say that it has been one of the best skiing conditions I have ever encountered.

The snow at Snowmass, was powdery and the crowds were gone, not much more you can ask for if you are an avid skier or snowboarder.

After a fun filled day on the slopes of Snowmass Mountain, nothing is as rewarding (except maybe taking off the heavy skiing boots) than a good meal. So booking a table at The French Alpine Bistro is without a doubt in my top 3 things to do while in Aspen. You simply cannot miss the charm and exquisite food of this place.

Admittedly, it’s no Aspen secret. Locals and visitors are known to expect the highest quality from this unassuming and cozy spot.

They describe themselves with the term Gemütlich: “a feeling of warmth, friendliness, and a sense of belonging, which guests experience in this charming candle-lit hideaway.” And they are correct. Without a doubt, a must go when in Aspen.

But above all, when in Aspen, one cannot miss the crown jewel of martinis at The Little Nell bar. The best dirty martini I have had in my life, and I don’t write this lightly. Surrounded by the music of a house DJ, this chic little bar offers the perfect apres-ski environment.

Hotel Jerome is a classic Aspen Hotel, featuring a cozy-chic Americana style that is picture perfect. I spent some time sipping cappuccinos by the fireplace of their lovely living room bar, and all I wanted was to book a room and extend my Aspen trip a week longer.

So, next time you might find yourself in Aspen, be a Style Nomad and venture out to all these magical spots!
